El Dorado East Regional Park entrance is from Spring St.near the El
Dorado Nature Center . Parking fees
are $ 3.00 during the week ,$ 5.00 on the weekend. The Express runs Friday
,Saturday ,and Sunday. The park is open 7 am to sunset daily .Obtain a map
at the entrance and proceed to area III . Follow the train signs . From the
North end of the train loop walk 105 paces North to a small pepper tree. The
letterbox ( a black cylinder ) is located at the base in a small hollow . If you
have trouble locating the tree go to the"Lakeview Grove - Reserved Site " sign
and walk 70 paces due East to the tree . The box is covered with dry leaves .
The parking fee will allow you to check for the box at the Nature Center also .
If you are looking for this letterbox after Easter let us know if you can't find
it , there is a large egg hunt in El Dorado each year and that could place it in
jeopardy. Happy Hunting ! Don & Gwen

Repost. Our older box at the El Dorado
Nature center was listed on "What's New". It should be this new box.
